Coping in Copenhagen

So i got here on wednesday, lunch time and went straight to the studio where I met CutFather, Pilfinger and Remee !
CutFather is the remix master of denmark and has worked with so many people, I couldn’t possibly write them all down. But one I will mention is Mark Morisson. he produced ‘Return of the Mack’. How dope is that !
Pilfinger (if that’s how you spell it) is a sick producer. He’s signed to a label in America and works with the Hip Pop and R&B heads out there a lot. He actually only hooked up with CutFather 3 weeks ago. I found that out today and was shocked cos it seemed like they’d known each other for years ! He’s actually only been working on non-”urban” music (as he calls it) for these past 3 weeks. Doing good son.
Remee is a writer and funnily enough he is also one of the Danish X-Factor judges out here. He’s got an amazing web-magazine thing you should check out to find out more about him. It’s in Danish though so you’ll just have to look at the pictures. And videos too.

So yesterday and all day today I’ve been working on 2 songs with these guys. The 1st one is called ‘Catch Me if You Can’ and the 2nd one is called ‘Bringing it Home’. They are both ill ! When I’ve finished them properly I’ll pop them up on myspace for your pretty little ears.
Apart from working I’ve been checking out a little bit of Copenhagen. The best thing I have seen, but unfortunately haven’t been able to take advantage of, is a flipping theme park right in the flipping centre of the city ! ! ! I didn’t think it was possible. It has rollercoasters and everything. After the session yesterday, the boys took me to a beautiful bar by the sea. It reminded me of Ibiza. The Sun was setting and we were sipping strawberry daquiris (do you remember that Clara, Jasper in the Elephant restaurant). After, I went to a Scottish pub to watch the footy. Bit of an annoying game but I’m hoping The Arsenal get them back at The Emirates next week. Let’s not talk more on that. Makes me too nervous. Was working until midnight this evening and when we left the studio, everything was shut so didn’t get to see anything else of Copenhagen. My stupid hotel didn’t even have a restaurant open or even room service so had to pop to this petrol station across the street and have a bag of crisps for dinner. nice. very healthy.
So just lying in bed writing this. Got to catch a plane in the morgen back HOME ! YAY ! Even being away for 2 days, i get home sick… shameful !
Anyways, will play you songs soon as they’re done.
